Troop 228 Scout Hut

The Flowery Branch Masonic Lodge 212, our chartering organization, has pledged land and support for the construction of a separate “Scout Hut” adjacent to the Masonic Lodge. This facility is promised to give the Boy Scouts of Flowery Branch a permanent home for now and many years to come.

The hut was dedicated as the John E. Runyon Memorial Scout Hut, after one of our troop's founding adult leaders, at the Groundbreaking ceremony held in February.

Now that ground has been broken and the plans have been approved, we know this thing is going to happen!

However, even with best efforts of both the Masonic Lodge and Scout Troop, the type facility we envision cannot be built without more help. Even after 2 years of fund raising, we have only reached a fraction of our goal.

The Boy Scout Troop 228 Building Fund accepts commitments of materials, labor, individual donations, and we are offering the opportunity for Corporate Sponsorship.

To find out more about how you can become a part of a project that will be a positive influence on the community for generations to come, contact the Scoutmaster, Webmaster. any Scout, Adult Leader or Lodge Brother.
